Objective

• Your task is to research an individual from history and argue persuasively for their greatness.

Tasks

1. Select your individual in class, following the order determined by the teacher. (suggested individuals are included below).
2. Research your individual at the library, using online journals and other online resources. Collate a bibliography for your project.
3. Write a blog post at learningsmart.org/blogs/greatestindividual/ arguing for the greatness of your individual.
   1. The post should be at least 750 words in length
   2. It should be a hypertext document.
   3. The post should include images or video.
4. Create a creative presentation to argue for your individual to the class.
   1. Approx 5 minutes long
   2. Creative presentation (video, drama, powerpoint, lecture, musical composition etc).
5. Respond in a paragraph to three other blog posts from your class.
6. Vote on the presentations by other groups.

• Please create your blog using the user name I gave your for all Smart Applications. Contact me at richard_smart@hcpss.org if you need a username.
• Use the admin link in the meta section to edit your blog… you can make posts, and pages.
• Feel free to change the theme and the settings for your blog.
• Please remember that all your posts are public on your blog.  They can be accessed directly from the internet.  This should affect what you write.

• Please ensure that you follow all the usual internet rules for my classes:

1. Avoid posting names, especially last names.
2. Do not post identifiable photographs of yourself or others, unless they are group shots where individuals are hard to identify.
3. NEVER post names and photographs in combination.
